Method · Consent

A banner is not proof that analytics is blocked.

Test the requests, not just the buttons. Use an isolated browser session, record the date and preserve the request log without exposing personal data.

01

Four states to test

Before a choice
Open a clean session. Inspect requests and browser storage before touching the banner. With a basic consent implementation, analytics libraries and collection requests remain absent.
Reject
Reject, browse to another page and reload. Confirm that no analytics collection starts and the refusal persists.
Accept
Accept analytics only. Confirm the intended measurement ID, one page view per load and no form-field values in event payloads.
Withdraw
Withdraw through the permanent preferences control. Confirm collection stops, relevant cookies are removed and subsequent page loads stay blocked.

02

Count successful enquiries

A click on Submit and a successful server response are different events. Validate errors first, register a pending attempt only after client checks pass, and consume it only when the server reports success. Test reload deduplication separately.
